Chilled casting – ideal for everything that is not iron

This process is used with non-ferrous metals which do not have the precision, complexity or the number of pieces most of all as die casting.

The casting takes place in a reusable steel mould. The material runs into the mould under gravity and it cools down there. It is removed after the cooling, then it is also trimmed like all other cast parts and reprocessed if necessary.

The advantage of this process is that the tools are very economical. However, it can also be replaced by precision casting.
